An antler strung with two ukulele strings to form a very primitive musical instrument. The bridge is constructed from a slice of wood and a metal rod, with a piezo film pickup underneath for amplification.

I usually play it bowed, with the antler sat across my lap like a guitar. The lack of frets means fingering needs to be done with the fingernails or cuticles of the left hand - a technique i’m still perfecting...

It produces an appropriately mournful tone, and features on a track called ‘antler song’ on the forthcoming Transept album.
